Dear IAVCEI members,
The IAVCEI Executive Committee is extremely happy to inform you that the new IAVCEI website will be activated on February 2 (https://www.iavceivolcano. org/). This important objective was achieved thanks to a fruitful, long-lived cooperation between our webmaster (Eugenio Nicotra) and GUARANT international, our professional private partner.
The IAVCEI Executive Committee is extremely happy to inform you that the new IAVCEI website will be activated on February 2 (https://www.iavceivolcano.
The new website (in WordPress CMS) should provide us with more efficient and more friendly access to real-time information and communication on all volcano-related matters, together with connections to social networks (Facebook, Twitter, and our new born Instagram). It is also intended to host the webpages of our Commissions, Working Groups, and Networks (already the case for 13 of these). The website will also offer access to the newly created e-Volcano Platform where peer-reviewed multidisciplinary videos and MOOCs will be made available to scientists, teachers, students, and the public.
Further work is still needed to update sub-domains and a multi-language option is in preparation. The website (and our social networks) will be regularly implemented with information on volcano-related matters by a Communication Group coordinated by E. Nicotra and composed of a few IAVCEI trained volunteers (a call will be soon issued).

We do expect that such a new website will allow IAVCEI to greatly improve its overall communication and international attractiveness.
Best regards,
Patrick Allard, IAVCEI President
